From the recording Bangsokol: A Requiem for Cambodia
The second movement invites all Gods (from different religions) to come and reflect on the causes of war, and especially the civil war that started in March 1970 when General Lon Nol staged a successful coup against Prince Sihanouk, who was - at the time- head of state. The civil war stopped on 17 April 1975, only to be replaced by the genocidal region of the Khmer Rouge.

which analyze
the realms and beings
of the three worlds
so as to illuminate
how the minds of humans
are filled with agreed,
along with anger
and delusion,
the roots of wars
and vicious conflicts
dropping all bombs
of annihilation.
